The absinthe fountain is used to slowly drip ice cold water into your glass. The slow addition water allows the release of essential oils locked inside the absinthe by its high alcohol content. The slower you drip and the colder the water the better your absinthe will taste. If no fountain is Available, you can always use a dripper.
When choosing a fountain, it is most important to think about how many people you will be serving and choose one with the appropriate number of spigots. Two people or less can use a 2 spout fountain while more than 2 users will require a 4 spout.

The absinthe spoon is specially designed for holding a sugar cube during absinthe preparation. It is slotted to allow the water to drip through it into your glass. Absinthe Spoons come in many sizes and styles.
When choosing your spoon consider how you will use it. If you are going to use the fire preparation method, avoid premium finishes like silver and gold as they will likely be damaged. Chrome or stainless steel will be best for the flaming method.
